The Project
TES were engaged to carry out the complete electrical services to the Yagan Square Development.
The works included
- LV distribution, lighting, power, UPS system, lightning protection, communications, fire systems, access control
- CCTV, IPTV, public address system, AV production cabling
- Event stage lighting controls
- IBAMS (Intelligent Building Automation & Management System)
- Feature LED lighting to 45m high tendrils and 12m high canopy (totaling over 26,000 LED nodes installed)
Overview
Located in the heart of Perth’s CBD, Yagan Square is part of the State Government’s Perth City Link project connects William, Wellington & Roe Streets and is located in the arms of the historic Horseshoe Bridge and above three operating tunnels. The Square will be one of the city’s major tourist destination as well as one of the most well-connected places in the city with 60,000 patrons from the Perth Train Station and Perth Bus port expected to pass through the area every day.
The new development included the construction of a flagship public space incorporating retail markets, market hall, bars, cafes, green spaces and activity hub areas for both day and night.
The area’s most prominent feature is the spectacular state of the art lighting display and large 45 meters digital screen tower. Impressive animated lighting is featured along the curved digital canopy areas to create digital art along with interactive screens for visitors to enjoy.
