The Project
To supply, install and commission all lighting, power, access control, security, CCTV, lighting control, fire and back-up generator systems for the new Water Corporation of WA’s office facility.
Timeline
The project was completed in just over a year, and excellent result given the demands related to working on a site that remains in operation over the duration of the project. The use of TES’s own team, rather the common practice of sub-contracting out works, is a major reason for the completion of such projects on time and on budget.
Overview
The Water Corp’s development consisted of the refurbishment of the existing offices and a new two level office extension.
Throughout the project the client remained on site operating an ‘as per normal’ service, so sequencing the works was essential to minimise any disruptions.
The works included the upgrade of the western power substation and the installation of a new site main switchboard and back-up generators. These items took detailed planning and scheduling to ensure the client remained operational at all times, as the generator system required very complicated load-shedding procedures – work of a highly technical nature.
