Timeline
Clever staging of this project was required. It was divided into three phases, over a 2 year construction period.
Project management required an intense and multi disciplined ‘Production Control’ program for the use and allocation of labour resources. Adhering to this schedule, we were able to drive the project, the builder and various other trades to successfully reach the client’s staged completion dates.
Overview
Attention to detail, together with extensive preparation and a complete working knowledge, was critical in the first few months of the project. Part of the main switchboard and numerous other distribution boards had to be decommissioned and removed, while the day-to-day business of a notoriously hectic industry remained operational.
As the publishers of WA’s only Sunday newspaper, with a staff of over 300 people – any unscheduled loss of power was potentially a major catastrophe to the Sunday Times due to the intensive computer and data network requirements. The successful completion of this extremely complex project beautifully showcased TES’s broad-reaching and complete management skills.
