Mother Teresa Catholic College – Baldivis
The Project
Following the successful completion of Stage 3, TES was awarded the Stage 3A contract to provide the extended Learning Block part 2, Resource Centre/Science Block and Administration block.
General learning areas, science and administration buildings comprise of double-storey rammed earth walls, pushing the use of the material beyond just aesthetic but also structural, unique in its design as there are no additional structural steel columns contained within.
All learning areas within the design were orientated to optimize passive solar effects and capture breezes for natural ventilation, which coupled with the thermal mass of the rammed earth walls will minimize overall energy usage of the building. This is also all automated on a fully integrated BMS system.
TES worked closely with our client to ensure that all of our works remained segregated from the operational school and to ensure that all risks were minimized to have no impact on the College’s operations.
