Joondalup Resort
The Project
To supply, install and commission all lighting, power, access control, security, CCTV, audio- visual, lighting control, fire and communications system to the new Joondalup resort function centre.
Timeline
The project was completed in just over a year, a demanding schedule given the continuous operation of the resort and the need to minimise noise and disruption for the guests. The specialised technical nature of the control systems also required precise coordination of personnel on the project.
Overview
The new function centre is a purpose built structure built adjacent to the existing hotel. The building includes a variety of bars and kitchens, and the ballroom itself can cater for up to 500 guests.
As the ballroom is able to be divided to cater for smaller groups, the state-of-the-art lighting control and audio-visual system enables the management to easily adapt the lighting and audio visual systems to suit the environment. At the ‘flick of a switch’ the lighting and audio-visual configuration is changed to complement the new space!
A western power substation upgrade was required to facilitate this new building, so precise detail and planning was required to minimise disruption to the hotel which remained in operation throughout this development.
