The Project
The Hotel Rottnest Resort redevelopment (now known as the Samphire Rottnest) located on Rottnest Island offering premium accommodation on the island. Works included demolition, major refurbishment and construction of two pools, reception pavilion, outdoor dining, function facilities and additional 80 architecturally designed guest rooms. 64 x of which included generous 30m² guest rooms and 16 x consisted of 45-57m² villas positioned at the front-row, all with private balconies overlooking Thomson Bay.
The rejuvenation of this historical facility add to visitors experience to the island.
Overview
TES Electrical was contracted to carry out complete electrical works including all general power & lighting throughout and the following services;
- Supply, deliver and install new Switchboards
- Supply, deliver and install new final sub-circuits serving light fittings, GPOs, isolators install new internal/external luminaires
- Supply, deliver and install new fire detection system (including smoke, thermal and in-ceiling detectors, indicators, etc)
- Supply, deliver and install new Access control
- Supply, deliver and install new CCTV system
- Supply and install new MATV system via GPON within room
- Supply and install data & communications system including fibre back bone system
- Supply and install new GPON system which incorporates ONTs to each room to serve Data outlets and WAP’s
- Cable Tray
- Perform all necessary testing and commissioning.
Timeline
The project commenced in June 2019 and was completed in October 2020. Through TES’s efficient & organised logistic planning, smooth day to day running and delivery of the project was met to client’s satisfaction.
During construction of the hotel TES were also awarded to contract for the Bistro / indoor outdoor bar & beach club dining area – known as Lontara.
