The Project

To supply, install and commission all lighting, power, access control, security, CCTV, lighting control, fire and Nurse Call systems for the St Bartholomew’s age care and homeless facility.

Timeline

The project was completed in just eighteen months, a significant achievement given the size, scope and specialised nature of the project. Logistics and planning were major challenges on such a job, but nothing that the team from TES couldn’t handle.

Overview

St Bartholomew’s house is located in East Perth and the facility provides accommodation for the homeless, combining crisis care, transitional care, long term accommodation, aged care (dementia specific) and offices for mental health service providers.

The project is a seven storey building, which incorporates two towers which are joined at the ground and first floors.

A new substation was required for the development, so coordination with the service providers was essential to ensure the timely completion of the project, especially as there was no storage facility at the site, meaning the scheduling of deliveries required a very high level of coordination and management skill.

As the building was the first of its kind to offer multiple levels of care in the one facility, TES worked closely with the client upon completion to ensure their seamless transition into their new premises.
