Employment opportunities with TES

The Managing Director of TES, Ernie Eolini started at the firm as an apprentice and so he appreciates the importance of a business culture that supports its workers and provides them with opportunities for training and advancement.

TES takes on apprentices and trades assistants regularly and is always on the lookout for talented tradesmen, estimators, supervisors and those seeking a rewarding career in the electrical industry.

All TES tradespeople working onsite are provided with the equipment and tools they need to do the job, including uniforms, safety gear, mobile phones and fully equipped vans. Training is of the highest calibre and is provided both on the job and at tertiary training institutions.

There are also opportunities for those with strong qualifications and experience as administrators and office staff, as the constant challenge of managing complex projects, both big and small, requires the best efforts of a dedicated, organised and competent team.

For those in more senior positions, attractive salary packaging is offered as part of a remuneration package. TES recognises that the employment market is competitive and hard work needs to be rewarded.

Looking for an electrical apprenticeship?

To become a qualified electrician, you must complete an electrical apprenticeship.

You may be able to commence your vocational training while you complete your secondary education; modules of the Pre-Apprenticeship Studies can be undertaken at this level.

The off-the-job training component of the apprenticeship is available through a number of TAFE colleges and private training organisations.

You could also consider completing the Certificate 1 in Electrotechnology (Pre Apprentice Electrical), which may help you secure an electrical apprenticeship. The Certificate 1 course is offered through TAFE.

For more information check out the TAFE website or your school's careers adviser.
